“Can I please get a D2?” (v.) to cast Warp II on someone. (n.) rather than referring to a spell, it is a name given to “Blood porting” or “death warping”.

Tactical Points (TP) are used by players and monsters to execute Weapon Skills/TP Moves respectively. There are some additional uses for players, like magic Blood Pacts, Dancer Job abilities, and so on, but the primary use is to execute Weapon Skills.

TP is getting removed, MP is getting capped Piety will be adjusted to accommodate this change, but it’ll continue to only affect healers.

TP, short for Technical Points in the English script and Tactical Points in the Japanese script, is used for certain command abilities, known as Techniques in the English script and TP Abilities in the original Japanese, that give the party a notable tactical advantage, including Libra, Renew, Summon, Dispelga, Quake.

You’ll have a total of 10,000 MP, which can be used for all spells and abilities. By removing TP from the equation, this means that MP will be the only expendable resource you need to look at when in combat, regardless of whether you’re a caster, healer, tank, or melee DPS.

As of patch 5.0, TP no longer exists. Weaponskills now have no cost. As of Patch 4.0 (Stormblood) the Sprint Action no longer uses TP.

MP is now fixed to 10000 instead of scaling with level. Well, to be precise it used to scale with Piety, which you gained on level up.

Affects the amount of damage dealt by both physical and magic attacks, as well as the amount of HP restored by healing spells.

MP, or magic points, are required to cast spells. If the MP cost of a spell is greater than your remaining MP, you cannot cast that spell. MP slowly regenerates over time in and out of combat. MP can be regenerated by using items such as Ethers.

You can recover everyone’s HP and MP at any inn. Look for a house in town with an “INN” sign. A good way to save MP for boss fights is to use Sleep or Darkness instead of attack spells. You simply don’t have enough MP to use an attack spell every turn in every encounter.

Each character can only equip a certain amount of spells per level. Final Fantasy VIII uses a draw system, in which spells must be stocked. A few games, including Final Fantasy XIII and Dissidia Final Fantasy, have no MP system, and as such magic spells can be cast at no cost.

MP Recovery Techniques in FF7 Remake’s Hard Mode

1. Break Shinra Boxes for Mako Shards (these respawn, and will do so immediately if you save and reload)
2. Use Aerith’s Soul Drain skill.
3. Complete a side quest that restores HP and MP (see our FF7R side quest guide)

Equipping multiples of the same Materia on your equipment won’t stack their effects. For example, having two Fire Materia won’t let you cast stronger Fire spells. To do that, you’ll need to level them up (which we’ll talk about below).

A higher Luck stat increases a character’s chance at successfully using the Steal Command. More importantly, it increases a character’s chances of doling out a critical hit for twice the normal damage. Therefore, fully upgrading the Luck Up Materia to boost luck by 50 percent is well worth the investment.

Luck Plus is an Independent Materia in Final Fantasy VII. When equipped, it boosts the user’s Luck by an amount dependent on the level of the Materia. Luck is an important stat in many calculations, including the chances of attacks hitting or missing, or for attacks being critical hits.

Refocus Materia grants the user to use the Refocus Limit Break . Materia is a type of equipment that can be slotted into Weapons and Armor and provide Spells or Bonuses that Characters can use.

The Luck stat increases the chances of landing critical hits and the success rate of the Steal ability.
