For some Android phones, you may not be able to increase or decrease the volume during setup by using the physical volume buttons, but you can adjust this in the Sounds section of your settings app. Tap Sounds. Tap Volumes. Drag all sliders to the right.

Here’s how to speak louder:

1. Address underlying nervousness.

3. Moderate the volume to not sound obnoxious.

8. Lower your pitch slightly.

Turn your volume up or down

1. Press a volume button.
2. At the right, tap Settings: or . If you don’t see Settings, go to the steps for older Android versions.
3. Slide the volume levels to where you want them: Media volume: Music, videos, games, other media. Call volume: Volume of the other person during a call.

To find the widget long-press on an empty space on your home screen and swipe until you see the Volume Control options.

Increase the volume limiter

1. Open the Settings app on your Android device.
2. Tap on “Sounds and vibration.”
3. Tap on “Volume.”
4. In the upper right corner of the screen, tap the three vertical dots, then tap “Media volume limiter.”
5. If your volume limiter is off, tap the white slider next to “Off” to turn the limiter on.

Setting the incoming call volume

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Choose Sound.
3. Set the phone’s ringer volume by touching Volumes or Volume.
4. Manipulate the Ringtone slider left or right to specify how loud the phone rings for an incoming call.
5. Touch OK to set the ringer volume.

The most direct way to adjust volume while on an active call is with the Volume keys on the side of the device. > Extra volume….Adjust Volume During Calls

1. Touch More options. > Settings.
2. Unmark the Noise reduction checkbox to turn off the feature.
3. Touch Settings to return to the call screen.

Go to Settings > Sounds (or Settings > Sounds & Haptics), and drag the Ringer and Alerts slider back and forth a few times. If you don’t hear any sound, or if your speaker button on the Ringer and Alerts slider is dimmed, your speaker might need service. Contact Apple Support for iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Go to Settings → My Device → Sound → Samsung Applications → Press Call → Turn Off Noise Reduction. Your earpiece speaker may be dead. When you put your phone in speaker mode it uses different speaker(s). If you have the plastic screen protector on the front of your phone, make sure it isn’t covering your ear speaker.

First, let’s start really simple and try this one out: just go to Settings, Sounds & Haptics, then to Ringtone. Try different ringtones and see if your speakers and sound works again. Also, make sure your battery has a charge of at least 30%. If less than that, charge it and see if the power level was the problem.

If the iPhone call sounds muffled or distant, often some object is covering or obscuring the devices audio input and/or output. Make sure the iPhone is clean and there is nothing stuck on it. Crud in the speakers can result in muffled audio sound.

If you need to change the volume settings on your iPhone, you can do so while you’re on a call, by using the volume buttons. They’re located on the side of the phone, and the top button makes calls louder in volume and the bottom button makes calls quieter.

Try using the earphones with the microphone attachment on a call and check that you can be heard properly. If so then there is a problem with the phone’s internal microphone or perhaps the voice inlet hole at the bottom of the phone is partially blocked with lint or dust.

Your speakers may sound muffled due to a setting in the audio settings. In the playback devices menu, tap and hold on “speakers” and then select “properties”. Tap on the “advanced” tab in the properties menu. Next, tap on “default format” and select a higher quality audio setting form the drop-down menu.

Make sure nothing is blocking the receiver, such as a case or screen protector. If you have a new iPhone, remove the plastic film on the front and back of the device. Check the receiver opening to see if it’s blocked or dirty. If necessary, clean the receiver opening with a small, soft-bristled brush.

Change Your Audio Format Click the “Advanced” tab and use the Default Format box to select your sound quality level. Try setting your audio quality to “16 bit, 44100 Hz (CD Quality)”. Click “OK” afterwards and see if the crackling or other audio problems continue. This change can fix some audio problems.

Follow the procedure below to troubleshoot this issue.

1. Turn off the stereo receiver.
2. Ensure the speaker wires are properly connected to both the speakers and stereo receiver.
3. Turn off any nearby electronic devices that may be interfering with the speaker sound.
4. Move the speaker wires away from any electrical cords.

Speaker popping and crackling is caused by interrupted electrical current (audio signals) or, in other words, a loose or dirty connection. To fix crackling and popping, troubleshoot the connective wires to find the problem area and secure the connection and/or replace the cable.

Speaker crackling is almost always caused by a connection problem. Someplace between your amplifier and your speaker driver, there’s a bad wire which is causing the driver to move abruptly, causing interference.

Clipping will sound more like metalic excessive noise on top of the HF passages. But, excessive mechanical sounding noise (cracking; knocking, etc.) on loud bass passages is usually those woofers hitting the limits of the voice coil excursions. This will damage the voice coil(s).
