Your introduction should tell people who you are and it should encourage people to engage with you. You need to sell yourself and feel confident while doing so because this will put others at ease. When introducing yourself, apart from your name you should consider including: your role or title.

Add a “Hi, I’m” or a “Hello, my name is” and then your name. This will make it friendly and less like you are reporting for military duty. When nervous, laugh a little bit (to relax) before you start. It helps to release the nervousness and quickly shifts you into a positive energy.

Clothing must be simple, clean and form fitting. Don’t wear anything distracting because you want all eyes on you and not your outfit. Jeans – fitted or skinny and in dark denim is best. A simple top –tank top or simple tee or a fitted white shirt is best.

Usually you’ll hear people say “I’m”, or “My name is”, or “My name’s”, contracting “name” and “is”.

First, introduce men and boys to women and girls; and younger people to older people. In translation, this means to mention first the name of the person to whom you’re making the introduction. (When the introduction involves two people of the same sex and approximately the same age, the order doesn’t matter.)

3. “I’m good at multi-tasking.”
4. “I enjoy meeting new people every day.”
5. “I love making people’s day.”
