Their reason to kill him was that JT was looking to get the MC out of a gun deal with the IRA, and Clay and Gemma weren’t on board with that. Clay’s next victim was Keith McGee, who served as President of the club’s charter known as Sons of Anarchy Belfast, in Ireland.

When he makes his demands one of them is for Jax to come in. Tara sees him pull out a knife and he tells her that he plans to kill her and make Jax watch and then kill Jax. When Jax comes in, Salazar is about to kill Tara, but is stabbed by Jacob Hale.

In August, 1999, he stabbed an informant, resulting in an additional two years. In December, 2001, he tried to broker a deal with GN that went south and he got his left eye slashed.

Jax then executes Clay by shooting him in the neck and then five times in the chest while he is on the floor. Jax then arranges the bodies to make it look like Clay had a falling out with the Irish and they all died in a shootout, allowing him to finally get revenge against Clay as well as Galen.

To start season three, Tig has accompanied Gemma while she is on the run from the law. He escorts her to her dementia-addled father’s home. While there Tig has sex with the father’s live-in caretaker, during which the man’s dementia causes him to shoot Tig in the shoulder with a rifle, injuring but not killing him.

After seemingly being released by August, later on, is instead killed by August in front of Jax as punishment for his betrayal. He meets his demise on the episode “What a Piece of Work is Man”, in the series’ seventh, and final, season.

Opie showed up at the clubhouse and shot Clay in the chest. Jax shot Opie in the wrist to keep him from finishing Clay off. She also told him that Clay was behind the hit on Tara and confirmed he’d killed Piney. For his father, for his family, and for his club, Jax had to kill Clay, Gemma said.
