As she begins to ascend, she watches in horror as Cinna is beaten to death by Peacekeepers due to his unabashed involvement with the rebellion and his relationship with Katniss.

President Snow didn’t want to take responsibility for the poison-berry part at the end of the games, so he punished Seneca Crane instead by locking him into a room with the same poison berries where he would die from starvation or from the berries.

He did this because he was really mad that all the supplies are destroyed and he thinks that the boy from District 3 did his job too good. 3.

Cato’s competitive nature is even more extreme than those of his fellow Careers, as he harbors a deep resentment of Katniss due to her high training score and iterates to his allies that he must be the one to kill her.
