From what I can tell, simulations seem to be graded far harder on mock tests. Get one number in a spreadsheet row incorrect and the sim will count everything wrong in that row. Mock exams (Becker) do seem slightly harder.

The new software for Becker in the 2017 edition allows you to speed up the lectures up 2x, allowing you to potentially save a lot of time depending on how you study.

The average CPA exam candidate will spend 60 – 90 hours studying for the Audit section – that assumes watching your CPA Review lectures 1 time and spending 2 – 3 hours on MCQ/sim practice problems for each hour of lecture.

It’s doable! I almost in awe of people who can pass a section in about a month of studying while working full time. Some take two months but have kids or other time consuming obligations.

AICPA has not made studying mandatory to take CPA exam. For passing CPA exam you have to study. If you have 120 hours of credit go and apply for NTS and take exam and that too without studying. This all applicable only to take exam and not applicable for passing exam.

You are able to retake the CPA Exam as many times as you would like, but only take each section one time per testing window. Focus on the areas that you were weak in and perhaps change up your study patterns to make a difference.

Good news it is! The good news is yes it is possible to pass the CPA Exam in three months. The not so good news is that taking and passing all four parts of the CPA Exam in 37 days or even 90 days take a considerable amount of time and effort that may not be practical for you and your schedule.

In general, it’s recommended that CPA candidates study for 300-400 hours for the CPA exam in total in order to ensure they pass. Essentially, this equates to about 80-100 hours of CPA study hours for each exam section.

If you just failed a section of the CPA exam and can sit for it in the next month or two and scored at least a 50 or above. You only need 2-6 weeks to study for this retake assuming you can put in around 15-20 hours per week of CPA exam study time.

The CPA people point was that the pass percentage you have to obtain is 75% while in ACCA it is 50% and that obviously makes ACCA easier. Yet, ACCAs responded that ACCA exams’ require written answers unlike CPA which is MCQs and therefore obtaining 50% is still quite challenging.
