Check the cable connections to the JVC to make sure the speakers are properly connected and the stereo is in sync with the rest of your A/V system. Turn off the stereo, unplug it, wait 5 minutes, then plug it in again and check to see if the problem has been corrected.

Common reasons for this to happen: Blown Fuse: One of the most common reasons for a car radio to stop working is a blown fuse. Damaged Antenna or Tuner: If the car’s CD player still works, but the radio itself doesn’t, then the problem most likely lies with either the antenna or the tuner.

The car stereo receiver may shut off or lose power if there is an issue with a loose or dirty connection. If the car stereo has a removable faceplate, clean the metal connectors using a cotton swab. Reset the car stereo to factory specifications. Turn on the car stereo and verify if the issue is resolved.

As a general rule, your car radio display will not work if it encounters various issues like a blown fuse, the dimmer turned down, or a faulty illumination wire. The connectors between the LCD and radio unit could be wet or defective, or the backlight, LCD, or radio unit itself could be faulty.

Reset your stereo by pressing the “ON” and “Select” buttons down at the same time for 6 seconds. It’s the simplest way to erase the internal chip memory and return your JVC car stereo to factory settings. However, take care not to press the buttons down too hard, as this may damage internal components!

You can get your JVC radio out of protection mode by removing all speakers, subs, and amps from it and then reconnecting them again one by one. This way, you can identify the faulty output connection, the one pushing your JVC radio in protection mode.

Press and hold M on the monitor panel for 10 seconds. Be careful not to drop the disc when it ejects. If this does not work, reset your unit.

You can delete a registered Bluetooth device.

1. Press the [Ú] button. “BT MODE” appears and enter the Bluetooth mode.
2. Use the [Control knob] to select “SETTINGS” > “PAIRING” > “DEVICE DELETE”.
3. Use the [Control knob] to select an Bluetooth device.
4. Use the [Control knob] to select “YES”.

Sending Your RadioBack to Kenwood If all else fails, you can send your stereo back to Kenwood to have the security code reset. During the code request mode, while holding the DISP key depressed, press and hold the Volume UP or DOWN key for 3 seconds (so that “…” disappears). Then using your remote enter your code.
