The Fosters fans were devastated to learn that Jake T. Austin’s role of Jesus was being recast right after the season two finale of the Freeform show back in March 2015. Apparently, Jesus’ role was being reduced in the third season and Jake didn’t want to be held back from other opportunities.

Good Trouble’s goodbye bash for Brandon and Eliza was a big Fosters family affair, with one very unexpected person on the guest list: Jude’s first boyfriend Connor (played by Gavin MacIntosh), who was last seen during a 2016 episode of The Fosters.

Callie & Brandon Callie and Brandon, after five seasons of tension, didn’t end up together. They did what would happen in the real world: They moved on. At the wedding, the show flashes through Callie and Brandon’s love affair.

“The Fosters” Season 2 ended with major drama—including a death. Twins Jesus (Jake T. Austin) and Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) were in a car accident with their birth mother Ana (Alexandra Barreto) while she was going into labor.

Callie sends the recording anyway to save Rita’s career. Believing she won’t be adopted, Callie and Brandon have sex at Idyllwild. After a difficult time on deciding what to do, they break up again in order for Callie to finally get adopted and agree to keep quiet about their night together.

Before you get too concerned, Callie wasn’t hit by a bus, she didn’t get cancer, and she absolutely wasn’t in a plane crash. In other words, she didn’t die. As fans know, that’s the typical reason we usually say goodbye to Shonda Rhimes’ characters. They die in some crushing, obscure way that leaves us in tears.

At the end of the Grey’s Anatomy (season 8), Robbins is hurt badly in a plane crash, resulting in her left leg being amputated. In the aftermath of the plane accident, in which Sloan and Lexie Grey were killed, the hospital is sued and eventually found liable for negligence.

Sofia was delivered by C-section during Callie’s second surgery following the crash. Addison Forbes Montgomery, Callie’s very good friend, returned from Los Angeles to deliver the baby after Lucy Fields admitted that the care Callie needed was beyond her abilities.

Izzie made her final appearance in the sixth season, leaving Seattle after Alex refused to resume their marriage. Heigl requested to be released from her contract 18 months early, in order to spend more time with her family. 10 years after her final appearance, the character’s fate was revealed in a season 16 episode.

Grey’s Anatomy Season 6 was the last time Heigl played Izzie. The character made a mistake and put her patient’s life at risk. Then to make matters worse, the incident happened during the Seattle Grace and Mercy West merger. So, Izzie was fired.
