The 5th and current Caliph of the Messiah of the Ahmadiyya Community is Mirza Masroor Ahmad. After the death of Ghulam Ahmad, his successors directed the Ahmadiyya Community from Qadian, India which remained the headquarters of the community until 1947 with the creation of Pakistan.

Zaid ibn Ali: An Arab who fought the Banu Umayyad. Muhammad bin Qasim: 695–715: An early Arab General who captured Sind and Multan and parts of Punjab in Pakistan. Isma’il ibn Jafar: An Arab who fought the Banu Umayyad. Qutaibah bin Muslim: An Arab Muslim general who captured Transoxiana.

Today the Islamic community remains divided into Sunni and Shi’i branches. Sunnis revere all four caliphs, while Shi’is regard ‘Ali as the first spiritual leader. The rift between these two factions has resulted in differences in worship as well as political and religious views.
