The Time Traveller is largely motivated by scientific urges – he wants to discover and understand things. For instance, after he escapes from the Morlocks, he decides to travel into the future to see how the world ends. He is “drawn on by the mystery of the earth’s fate” (11.8).

Morlocks, as they appear in the 1960s Time Machine film. The Morlocks are a humanoid species which is descended from humans, particularly low-class underground machine operators. They exist in several future timelines, notably in Mor. They are subterranean, and prefer dark, as their eyes are sensitive to light.

Time travel may soon be possible, according to an astrophysicist who believes he’s worked out a way to build a time machine. However, when we think of the phrase “time travel,” we are usually thinking of traveling faster than 1 second per second.

The combination of the demolition work and the power of the Earth’s gravity caused the moon to shatter. This scene in the movie is portrayed as foreshadowing the eventual degeneration of the human race into the Eloi and Morlock. In my opinion, The Time Machine by HG Wells can be called a classic for two reasons. First, the book is a groundbreaking work of science fiction that in the twenty-first century still appeals to readers of the genre. Second, it is a document of the frame of mind of the Victorian Age at its height.
