The three main pigs are Old Major, Napoleon, and Snowball, and they all are said to represent one of the three major figures of the Soviet Union. Old Major is slightly different from the other two because Orwell was said have based him on two people: Vladimir Lenin and Karl Marx.

Why is it difficult for the pigs to convince the animals of the principles of Animalism? Their system is has lots of ideas. Most of the animals are concerned only with very practical matters. What are some of the animals’ objections to Animalism?

How is Squealer able to convince the other animals to accept whatever Napoleon decides? He uses propaganda, by telling the animals that the pigs need milk to stay healthy, and help keep Jones from returning. He positioned all the animals and ordered them when to attack.

Squealer’s lack of conscience and unwavering loyalty to his leader, alongside his rhetorical skills, make him the perfect propagandist for any tyranny. Squealer’s name also fits him well: squealing, of course, refers to a pig’s typical form of vocalization, and Squealer’s speech defines him.

The propaganda extolled, becomes a twisted mass of lies and half-truths intended to hide the reality of the situation from the animals. It is used to confuse and bewilder them.

By George Orwell. Squealer is a one-pig propaganda machine: he takes the unpleasant realities (no food, pigs sleeping in beds) and turns them into delicious lies (lots of food; piggies resting their brains to better help you). Also, we kind of wish we could win arguments by swishing our tails.

After finding a case of whiskey in the farmhouse cellars, Napoleon over-indulges and finds himself very sick the next day. Believing that he is dying, he issues his final command: As his last act upon earth, Comrade Napoleon had pronounced a solemn decree: the drinking of alcohol was to be punished by death.

No I do not believe Squealer had a secret document that proves Snowball is a traitor and my evidence is that if he really have the secret document he would prove it to the animals that Snowball is wrong. Foreshadow is when the author gives us clue of what is going to happen next in a story.

Why does Napoleon deceive Mr. Whymper? He hates him. He doesn’t want the rumor verified.

How is Napoleon becoming more and more like a typical dictator? He has many different titles for his name. He has his own appartment in the house. He has his own personal food taster and always either walks around with bodyguards or and entourage.

What drastic actions do the pigs use to shatter the animals’ complacency? The pigs begin to wear the Jones clothing and Nepoleon carries a whip with him now. The pigs begin to walk on two legs and the sheep have been taught a new motto “Four legs good, two legs better.” All seven commandments are erased.
