Electrostatic forces are attractive or repulsive forces between the particles that are caused by their electric charges. Electromagnetic forces are forces created by both electric and magnetic fields for a particle moving with velocity v.

If you remember any of the physics you learned in school, it’s possible you may remember that there are four fundamental forces of nature. They are in no particular order gravity, electromagnetism, the weak nuclear force and the strong nuclear force.

Actually, gravity is the weakest of the four fundamental forces. Ordered from strongest to weakest, the forces are 1) the strong nuclear force, 2) the electromagnetic force, 3) the weak nuclear force, and 4) gravity.

The strongest of these is the strong nuclear force, which is 100 times stronger than the electromagnetic force – the next strongest of the four forces. The strong nuclear force operates only within the nucleus of an atom and so is not experienced directly within everyday life.

Water is stronger than earth when seen as an unaccompanied pair and water as stronger than earth in the same fashion. Air is seen as stronger than water or earth for the same reason. It all comes down to purity. Air is more pure than water, water more pure than earth and fire more pure than earth.
