The world record for having the most number of children officially recorded is 69 by the first of two wives of Feodor Vassilyev (1707-1782), a peasant from Shuya, 150 miles east of Moscow. In 27 confinements, she gave birth to 16 pairs of twins, seven sets of triplets and four sets of quadruplets.

According to the official Guinness World Records website, the youngest record holder, Tucker Roussin, was just 24 weeks old and still in the womb when he became the youngest person ever to undergo open-heart surgery in 2013. He was officially born 14 weeks after the procedure.

Charlotte Reznick, author of The Power of Your Child’s Imagination: How to Transform Stress and Anxiety Into Joy and Success, warned that because the mouth is an erogenous zone which “can be stimulating,” parents should avoid kissing their little cherubs on the lips.

While kissing on the cheek, head or face is allowed between parents and children and close blood relations, kissing on the lips is not desirable or even permissible. While it may be excused between a mother and a daughter, it is not at all permissible between a mother and her grown-up boys as ruled by scholars.

It is not inherently wrong for a father to kiss his daughter on the lips until the day he dies. All six of us kids, two boys and four girls, kissed our dad on the lips until the year he died at 90. When either party feels uncomfortable, that would be a time to stop.

If he’s giving her the occasional peck on the neck it’s no big deal, and it’s understood as just a sign of affection by both the father and the daughter.
