Ball hockey is the same sport as floor hockey. Ball hockey is patterned after and closely related to ice hockey, except the game is played on foot on a non-ice surface, player equipment is different, and an orange ball is used instead of a hockey puck….Ball hockey.

Most golf balls have between 300 and 500 dimples, which have an average depth of about 0.010 inch. The lift and drag forces on a golf ball are very sensitive to dimple depth: a depth change of 0.001 inch can produce a radical change to the ball’s trajectory and the overall distance it can fly.

The dimples are extremely important in golf ball design. For lower spinning balls, the dimples are typically a bit shallower to help the ball fly higher and stay in the air. The dimples work to break the air around the ball in flight, and have two key characteristics that are measured: Lift and Drag.

The usual choices available are White, Pink, Yellow or Orange. As a goalkeeper I am of the belief that White is still the best colour to use, as you are able to see the ball clearly in different light conditions although if playing an evening game an Orange ball may stand out even more.

While you cannot kick the puck to score a goal, kicking and moving the puck with your feet can be an important part of playing hockey. You can kick the puck in all game situations except for directly kicking it into the net with a distinct kicking motion.

The game starts in the centre circle with a face off. This is where the referee drops the puck in between two opposing players who then scrap to win position for their team. A faceoff may also be used to resume play after a stoppage in any of the attacking or defending face off zones.
