One final tip: hang the camera so the lens points inward toward your body. A lens sticking out will torque your shoulder and bang into things, risking damage. An inward-facing camera is just as easy to grab and causes the least pain and risk. Do all that, and you might even get mistaken for an expert.

Shooting downwards from a balcony, you better keep the strap on! Security: Keeps the camera safe from accidental knocks. If it gets knocked or I get pushed, chances are the camera will not fall. In some environments such as crowded streets or markets, it is impossible to prevent something from knocking the camera.

Hint: It combats light leaks. Your Canon dSLR has a useful tool on its strap that has likely gone unnoticed. PetaPixel points out that the small rubber thingy, (for lack of a better term) on the strap that came with your Canon camera is an eyepiece cover that prevents light from leaking into the viewfinder.

I use dish soap and hand wash mine in the sink, then air dry them. The Love & War Dept does not want the metal parts rattling around in the washer or dryer. Since I live for her happiness, but still want my neck straps clean, this works well for me.

1. Start with the strap facing the right way: The exposed top and bottom of the strap buckle should be facing outward. Working towards the camera, thread the loose end of the strap through the camera’s metal loop. Then thread the loose end of the strap through the little fastener that’s attached to the strap.

So first remove the plastic clips, just push them HARD towards the on-camera mounting post, they should just pop off. Then remove the triangular rings, they are VERY stuff so you may need a flat-head screwdriver to pry the end open, just rotate them around like a key-ring and off they come.

Just bend the line so that it’s pulling the small end of the wrist strap. Next, twist the ends together then thread them through the strap mount. Once it’s through, you should be able to pull the small end of the wrist strap through the strap mount, too.

To the right of the paper slot, locate the circular hole on your camera and insert the strap from the bottom plastic side. Slide the other side of the strap through the hole from the inside of your paper cover and move your paper cover in until it is securely attached to your camera.

Attaching the Strap

1. Open a strap clip. Use the clip attaching tool to open a strap clip, making sure that the tool and clip are in the orientations shown.
2. Place the strap clip on an eyelet. Hook the strap eyelet in the clip opening.
3. Pass the clip through the eyelet.
4. Attach a protective cover.
5. Insert the strap.
6. Fasten the strap.

This is usually caused when the film door on the camera or printer has been opened after film has been loaded into the camera or printer. Instant film is light sensitive, so should only be exposed to light when a picture is taken, not before.

To do so, turn the control knob counter-clockwise until the yellow lines on the control knob and shutter button line up, and the filled circle symbol is at the front. When the camera is on, the ring flash will light up. The number of LEDs which light up corresponds to the number of shots you have left.
