Yuffie is hiding behind the room dividing screen (the zig-zag looking piece of furniture) on the left side of the screen. Follow her out of the house. Yuffie’s next hiding spot is on the left side of Wutai near the Turtle’s Paradise Bar where the Turks are found.

Yeah, Yuffie can be recruited at any time in the game so long as there’s a forest. There is a major optional sidequest for Yuffie that must be completed before Disk 3 though. The earliest you can embark on this sidequest is straight after the Rocket Town events.

You can encounter her as many times as you like before you recruit her fully.

Once the player starts the Wutai side quest in FF7, Yuffie steals the party’s Materia and runs off. This leaves the party severely underpowered, so they must give chase and get their gear back.

No, her materia is automatically returned to you. You do lose her weapon and armor, but you get to keep her accessory.

Yuffie however, I’ll never miss her. ): If you miss Yuffie, if you go to Wutai she won’t steal your materia( because she’s not there to steal it xD), and you won’t see Don Corneo get killed.

Secret Character. You have a chance of running into Yuffie on the world map whenever you are passing through a forested area. The earliest point in the game that you can obtain Yuffie is after you have exited the Mythril Mine and are on your way to Junon (marked as the “Junon Area” on the menu screen).

Yuffie is good to have for morphing purposes. You don’t need to level her up during the main game though; you can always level her up really quickly after getting to the final dungeon.

Getting Yuffie is pretty easy so dont worry about doing to much work.

4. Step 4: You Got Yuffie!
5. Step 5: Wutai Sub-Mission.

Recruiting Yuffie Anyway, you can get Yuffie Kisaragi at any point once you can reach Junon or Gongaga. However, she’s not in either of these towns, but instead is in the forests nearby. In order to find her, you simply need to wander these forests, fighting random encounters until you meet the Mystery Ninja enemy.

You should be at least level 25 at that point unless you haven’t been training. I beat him at level 34.

After Midgar you would visit a small town named Kalm, a Chocobo ranch, a swamp, Mythril Caves, forests, Fort Condor, Port Junon, and then leave the first continent.
