The underhood fuse box is located in the front of the engine compart- ment on the passenger’s side. To open, push the tab as shown. The interior fuse box is underneath the dashboard on the driver’s side.

Inoperable sunroofs are a nightmare. The main reason for them is probably a dead motor, a faulty switch or a broken fuse. It is easy to find and fix the fuse but it’s better to leave the work to experts and not cause more damage while trying to DIY it. The motor faults are rare but they are in no way cheap to fix.

Where is sunroof motor located? Finally, there’s a motor that operates the entire thing, which is connected to a switch located somewhere in your cabin – it’s generally located on the ceiling, in front of the moonroof, but this varies depending on the make and model you’re driving.

Connect a test lamp between the sunroof motor close control circuit of the sunroof motor/actuator harness connector and a good ground. Press the sunroof switch to the close position for 3 seconds. The test lamp should illuminate.

Driver’s door needs to be open, key goes off, on, off, on, then push the sunroof closed button quickly, before pressing and holding it. After about 20 seconds, it’ll open all the way and then close. The reset it now complete.
