Step 1: Visit the EPFO website and click on the “Locate an EPFO Office” option. Step 2: If you want to know the EPF office having jurisdiction over an address, select the first option, or choose the second option if you want to know the jurisdiction of an EPF office.

Go to https://epfigms.gov.in/. Select the ‘View Status’ option. Submit by entering the Complaint Registration Number and Mobile Number / Email ID and Security Code. Now the status of the complaint will appear on the computer screen.

Basic rules

1. keep your letter to the point. You need to give enough detail for your employer to be able to investigate your complaint properly.
2. keep to the facts.
3. never use abusive or offensive language.
4. explain how you felt about the behaviour you are complaining about but don’t use emotive language.

When the visitors traffic is very high in real time then automatically these sites are getting slow and troubling their users. EPFO is not a small organization so we don’t expect these kind of problems from EPFO sites. So the main reason behind why EPFO site is not working is number of visitors.

Go to the EPFO Member portal https://www.epfindia.gov.in.

1. Select “Activate UAN” present on the right side of the screen under the “Important Links” option.
2. Enter your UAN number, name, birth date, email ID, and mobile number.
3. After entering the details, hit the “Get Authorization Pin” button.

If you don’t activate your UAN number then you need to depend on your employer or PF office for every small PF related works. Every employee who is contributing to EPF will have a UAN number and PF account number. If you don’t know your UAN number then you can find it with your PF‌ account number at UAN member portal.
