The Lions were the first Western Canadian team to have won the Grey Cup at home, having done so in 1994 and 2011, before Saskatchewan won in 2013, while also becoming the only team to beat an American-based franchise in a championship game, a feat accomplished in 1994.

The Las Vegas Posse were a Canadian Football League (CFL) team that played the 1994 season as part of the CFL’s short-lived American expansion. The Posse was one of the least successful CFL teams, both on the field and off.

Baltimore Stallions

According to official league records, Speros canceled the Stallions franchise after the 1995 season and reclaimed the dormant Alouettes franchise. Consequently, when Speros moved the team to Montreal, all of the Stallions players were released from their contracts, though Popp managed to re-sign many of them.

The Stars remained in Philadelphia for the 1984 season but were forced to relocate their post-season home games to Franklin Field due to a conflict with the Philadelphia Phillies.

Baltimore did have its own NBA team not too long ago, called the Bullets. Despite the rather unfortunate name, it was a pretty good team and even won the championship one year. However, it was moved to D.C. about twenty years ago, probably because Washington is a bigger market, and was renamed the Wizards.
