She crashed on to the Island, where she began an inconsistent relationship with fellow survivor Charlie Pace. One of the Others kidnapped her, and she suffered amnesia after the escape. She later gave birth to her son, Aaron Littleton, and did her best to take care of him despite being a reluctant mother.

Ian Somerhalder (aka Boone Carlyle) was the first character killed off Lost because he was the first actor to complain about a lack of screen time he was getting. He wanted to know what direction his character was going. They decided to kill him off so he can pursue other opportunities.

Shannon runs after him, only to be accidentally shot by Ana Lucia (Michelle Rodriguez), who mistakes her for an Other. She dies moments later in Sayid’s arms. Shannon’s death not only left Sayid heartbroken, but also caused a rift between the survivors and the Tailies.

They died in the plane crash of Oceanic Flight 815, and the Island doesn’t actually exist — it’s just a representation of Purgatory where all of the characters are overcoming their personal demons after death.
