This is the reason that Jesus came to the earth: to save his people from their sins by his life, death and resurrection. His great purpose was to restore sinners to their God so that they may have eternal life forever with him….

In the New Testament of the Christian Bible, “Son of God” is applied to Jesus on many occasions. Jesus is recognized to be the Son of God on two occasions by a voice speaking from Heaven. As applied to Jesus, the term is a reference to his role as the Messiah, or Christ, the King chosen by God (Matthew 26:63).

Sin is what separates mankind from God, and Jesus became the mediator between us, paying the price for our sins by dying on a cross. He didn’t come to earth to be a cute baby in a manger and later become a celebrity at Christmastime. He came to save us from sin by being that sacrifice for our sins….

Through faith and repentance, you go from being God’s enemy to being God’s child. Jesus saves from slavery to sin to freedom. Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” Jesus said, “He who believes in Me will never die” (John 11:26)….

Because He Forgave He’s creator of the universe. He made man in His image to share in relationship and community with Him, and we choose our way. We rebelled against the God who only ever wanted relationship and connection with us. He decided to forgive us anyway, even though that forgiveness cost Him everything….

Ask God to forgive you for what you’ve done. Just as you would with other people, after saying you are sorry you must ask to be forgiven. There is no special prayer you have to pray to earn forgiveness from God. All you have to do is ask him to forgive you, through Jesus Christ, and believe that he will forgive you.

In the King James Version of the Bible the text reads: For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly. But if you don’t forgive men their. trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Several passages in the New Testament are frequently interpreted as referring to the unforgivable sin: Matthew “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. And so I tell you, any sin and blasphemy can be forgiven. But blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.

Unforgiveness is a Family Sin. It is a sin committed by husbands agaist their wives, wives against their husbands; children against parents and parents against their children. Brothers and sisters that will not forgive one another….

“At first it may help the person who has been hurt to let go of anger, resentment and desire for revenge. But forgiving also may encourage the transgressor to do it again. Experts say reaching true forgiveness is a journey that may take years. And it is best not to forgive too soon.”…

At the end of the day, whether or not to forgive is a choice only you can make, and not wanting to forgive doesn’t make you a bad person. Instead of forcing yourself to forgive when those feelings aren’t coming naturally, you can choose another method of coming to terms with trauma….

You may not even realize how bad you feel until you decide to forgive. Studies have shown that being a forgiving person not only leads to healthier relationships, but also to lowered blood pressure, better heart health, and even a stronger immune system….

It takes choosing love and knowing that it covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8). No matter how hard it is to forgive or how many times we have to do it, we must remember that forgiveness isn’t optional for a Christian (Colossians 3:13). “Yes, I forgive her, but I don’t forget what she did!

Forgiveness makes forgetting easier, according to a study which lends weight to the adage that it is best to do both. Victims of a transgression are more likely to ignore the precise details of what happened if they have pardoned the mistake, psychologists found….

01. Forgetting is not possible. The thing is, if someone tries to forgive and forget, it’s possible they haven’t really forgiven, because by the quick act of “forgetting,” they haven’t fully processed the wrong they’ve been done. And acknowledging the wrong is essential to real forgiveness….

When God forgives, God forgets. This truth is repeatedly affirmed in Scripture. According to the psalmist, God has removed our sin from us as far as east is from west (Psalm 103:12). When God forgives our sin he puts it out of his mind; he erases it from the pages of time; he forgets it.

Forgiveness is designed to set the victim free. Just because you forgive someone does not mean you are condoning their actions nor does it mean you think that person had the right to hurt you. Despite your forgiveness there are still consequences your offender must face but forgiving them releases you from the pain….

Here are 5 ways to tell if you’ve forgiven someone:

• When you can think of them without thinking of the hurt they caused you.
• What if they needed your help?
• Can you think positive thoughts about this person?
• Do you think of wanting revenge?
• When you have stopped looking for them to fail.

Even when someone breaks your heart, the love for them does not instantly go away. In some cases, it never goes away. It is totally normal to love someone, even after they break your heart….
