7-year-olds usually wear about a child’s size 1 shoe. This can obviously vary on whether or not your kid has the average size foot or not, but this is the most common shoe size for this age group.

Kids’ Shoe Sizes by the Numbers

• Toddlers’ sizes run from 0–13: The smallest sizes in this range are tiny baby shoes, but the larger sizes often fit kids who are 4 or 5 years old or even older.

Women’s sizing runs 1.5 sizes larger than youth sizing. So to determine your youth size, simply subtract 1.5 from your regular size. For example, if you wear a women’s 7.5, you would wear a youth 6. Youth sizes run as large as a 7, so anything up to an 8.5 falls within the women’s/kid’s overlap.
