FAW training courses involve at least 18 hours of training and are run over a minimum of three days.

The FAW Certificate is valid for 3 years and is issued by your First Aid training provider. As a Certified First Aider, you will have the necessary skills and knowledge to respond effectively to emergencies both in the workplace and beyond.

Level 3 refers to the first aid at work course, which is designed for higher risk workplaces and assigned three credits, because it takes three days (24 hours) to complete.

The FREC 3 provides a solid foundation for the learner to be competent to deal with a wide range of medical and trauma situations in the prehospital environment and is suitable for but not limited to: Event first aiders. Fire fighters. Police fire arms and medics.

These courses generally take about one day, usually around 6 or 7 hours of tuition with both theoretical and practical elements. Following such a course, a first aider will be trained to deal with the major emergency situations, such as giving CPR, and dealing with people who are choking or bleeding severely.

How long is a First Aid certificate valid for? Nationally accredited First Aid certificates, such as the Provide First Aid, generally stay current for three years.

FREC 4 is made up of three mandatory units of 39 hrs not including breaks attended over 5 days. There is an additional 150 hrs of learning time. This can be achieved by pre-course reading from the course manual and post course Continual Professional Development (CPD).

FREC 3 fulfils the competencies set out in Prehospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) Skills Framework at descriptor Level D. In addition, FREC 4 sits on the PHEM framework at descriptor Level E.

Blended FAW – 6 hours flexible pre-learning online + 2 days practical course at our venue or yours – offering you enhanced training whilst saving you time and money.

The course is delivered through flexible teaching methods, over a 12-month period. It consists of three residential teaching blocks, arranged around the competitive season breaks. Support is provided between course times by dedicated FAW mentoring staff, who work on the individual needs of each coach.

The FAW C Certificate, online transitional workshops are designed to provide candidates with the opportunity to complete post course tasks to support in achieving the FAW C Certificate, Youth qualification to go alongside their existing FAW C Certificate, Senior qualification.

The FAW/UEFA B Licence transitional workshop is designed to allow candidates the opportunity to complete online tasks to support candidates in achieving the FAW/UEFA B Licence, Senior qualification to go alongside their existing FAW/UEFA B Licence, Youth qualification.
