Here are the parks that we currently know of: Park 1, Westworld; Park 2, Shogunworld; Park 3, Warworld; and Park 6, The Raj. The only park that “Westworld” viewers actually got to see in Season 1 was Westworld, though Shogunworld was teased somewhat in the finale.

Showrunners Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan have a pre-existing deal in place that keeps them with the sci-fi drama for up to six seasons. Westworld will reanimate at HBO. The premium cable network has renewed the sci-fi drama from Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan for a fourth season.

If you just can’t get enough of this intersection of sci-fi with philosophy, then there’s good news on the horizon. Westworld will be back for a fourth season, and here’s everything we know about it so far.

In “Crisis Theory,” the Sunday finale written by Nolan and Denise Thé, Westworld seemingly killed off Dolores for good. Though death is often a minor inconvenience in this series, especially for the easily repaired hosts, this demise rang of more permanence. “We saw Dolores perish,” Thé told The Hollywood Reporter.

And when it comes to the apparent demise of Evan Rachel Wood’s Dolores in Sunday’s Season 3 finale, co-creators and co-showrunners Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy are indeed saying so. “Dolores is gone,” Nolan confirms to our sister site Variety.

“Westworld III” will consist of eight episodes, two fewer than both previous seasons. But it probably just means that Nolan and Joy decided they only had solid material for eight episodes and didn’t want to unnecessarily stretch out the season.

“Westworld” ended its third season Sunday with a finale that brought Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) and Caleb’s (Aaron Paul) battle against Serac (Vincent Cassel) and Maeve (Thandie Newton) over the fates of human- and Host-kind to a close.

Dolores may have been killed off — or erased — on “Westworld,” but that doesn’t mean the actor who portrayed her, Evan Rachel Wood, is necessarily done with the show.

Major spoilers ahead. [This story contains spoilers for season two, episode six of HBO’s Westworld, “Phase Space.”] As Carol Anne Freeling might intone: “He’s back!” In truth, Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins) never truly died.

So this would be a way around that. The other possibility is that this body has, to some degree, a mind of its own. And thus there are two separate Bernards — one being the mind and one being the body. And there’s evidence that this body is different from the one he had in Westworld.

In some ways, the answer is very simple: Dolores killed Arnold because he programmed her to do it. When Arnold came to believe that Dolores was truly conscious (and that it was something all the hosts were capable of), he didn’t want to open the park anymore.

Sometime around now Ford creates Bernard (also Wright), a host who is an exact replica of his former partner, Arnold. “Bernard Lowe” is actually an anagram of “Arnold Weber.” Bernard is a top engineer and helps Ford create more lifelike hosts than the rest of the park staff is able to do.

As it turns out, we have been looking at Arnold all along — in the form of Bernard (Jeffrey Wright), Ford’s second-in-command, a secret host built by Ford in Arnold’s image. And yes, it’s true that Arnold isn’t alive anymore — because Dolores killed him once upon a time.

Dolores kills Ford as an execution for a crime against her, which is really a crime against the hosts. Ford never wakes her up as he wants her to do that herself. He wants her to crave the death of humans herself.

He tells her that she should leave and that all of the devils from hell are with them there. He whispers something into Dolores’ ear. Dolores later reports that he whispered, “These violent delights have violent ends”. This is one of Friar Lawrence’s lines from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.

In season 1, Dolores is always talking to Arnold*, never Bernard. Their conversations occur in the the original timeline, about 30 years before the other events in the episode.

It involves Peter Abernathy, the host who, when we first meet him, is playing the role of Dolores’ homespun father. You’re in a prison of your own sins.” Later, Bernard whispers in Abernathy’s ear what performer Louis Herthum has revealed to be “Goodbye, old friend, for now.”

= When Ford created Bernard, which was a long time (many years) after his death, nobody had any idea who Arnold was. His name and face had been long erased. Bernard doesn’t even know that Ford had a partner.

Bernard is not actually Arnold, nor he is really a “clone.” A clone would be a biological copy. He is an android programmed to have the appearance (and, I assume, the disposition and skills) of the late Arnold Weber (for which “Bernard Lowe” is an anagram).

When Arnold died, Ford worked hard to erase all record of him. A few years after the park opened, Logan has Delos lawyers look into the park, and all they can find out about Ford’s partner is that he died; they can not find a picture or a name.

Arnold Weber, also known as the Creator, is a character in HBO’s Westworld. He and Dr. Robert Ford designed and created the hosts. After Weber’s death, Ford created Bernard in Arnold’s image.

Ford explains at the end that he is hoping that Bernard will choose to be his partner again, having learned the truth, but he doesn’t. He wants revenge on Ford and to burn the place down (much like Arnold originally did). But Ford can’t have that, since Fords own plan is about to come to fruition. So he kills bernard.
