New York City, which is located in the Northeast, has the highest population of any city in the US; its population exceeds that of most states.

Its regions are New England, the Mideast, the Southeast, the Great Lakes, the Plains, the Southwest, the Rocky Mountains, and the Far West.

We will be traveling through the 11 states that make up the northeast region: Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
