National parties

• A party should win 2% of seats in the Lok sabha from at least three different states.
• At a general election to Lok Sabha or Legislative Assembly, the party polls 6% of votes in any four or more states and in addition it wins four Lok Sabha seats.
• A party gets recognition as a state party in four states.

The party-in-the-electorate are individuals who perceive themselvesas party members; many voters have a party identification that guides and influences their votes. No dues or membership cards;one needs only to claim to be a member.

The constitution defines North Korea as “a dictatorship of people’s democracy” under the leadership of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), which is given legal supremacy over other political parties.

The South declared its statehood in May 1948 and two months later the ardent anti-communist Syngman Rhee became its ruler. The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea was established in the North on 9 September 1948. Shtykov served as the first Soviet ambassador, while Kim Il-sung became premier.

South Korea has been gaining popularity among Indian expatriates. Since the 1970s, many Indians have been coming to the South Korea and now there are about 7,006 Indians as per International Migration Report, living and working in the country.

Internet access is not generally available in North Korea. Only some high-level officials are allowed to access the global internet. In most universities, a small number of strictly monitored computers are provided. Other citizens may get access only to the country’s national intranet, called Kwangmyong.

The North Korea national baseball team is the national baseball team of North Korea. The team represents North Korea in international competitions. The team is organized by the Baseball and Softball Association of DPR Korea.
