With a deep combat system built around double chain blade weapons, the game places you in a variety of environments, in which you must fight challenging enemies, swing on ropes, scale mountain cliffs, swim through rivers, and slide down zip lines. Now that the two prologue games have been finished, players are now ready to take on the original God of War game that made its debut on the PS2 in 2005. The classic action game’s story takes around 9 hours to complete, and gives players the context for how Kratos attained his godhood in the first place.

Now a god, but still plagued by madness, Kratos must journey to the far reaches of the earth, defeating untold horrors, in a quest to change his fate.

Using a combination of the square (weak attack) and triangle (strong attack) buttons you can perform numerous different combos at the start. To save you the time of learning everything progressively with the tutorials you can also throw enemies with circle, block attacks with L1 and evade by moving the right analog stick.

The entire game was played at 2x Native Resolution, with Shade Boost, FXAA and FX Shader options all enabled, at a solid 60 FPS (with very rare drops) in Direct3D11 Hardware mode. NOTE : Shadows on Kratos and enemies cannot be seen. The Hades section is missing some effects resulting in a washed out look.
