As per my experience, it’s easier to score in humanities stream than science stream, at least in CBSE. But if you really want to study humanities for knowledge, then it’s quite tough. In 2018(if I’m not wrong) around 70 students scored full marks in physics and 1500+students scored full marks in economics.

The subjects that are generally offered in humanities are; English, History, Geography, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Fashion Studies, Hindi or Sanskrit. Students who wish to pursue mass media, journalism, studying history, geography and other liberal arts should opt for this stream.

Both interpret the human experience through words or non-verbal forms of expression. It’s true that the arts have more to do with the act of creation itself, whether through performance or the physical production of works, while the humanities have to do more with research and critical analysis.

As a group of educational disciplines, the humanities are distinguished in content and method from the physical and biological sciences and, somewhat less decisively, from the social sciences. The humanities include the study of all languages and literatures, the arts, history, and philosophy.
