The shaving of the head, in a way, makes everyone look the same, much like the wearing of a mask would. So, in a way, both the government as well as V used similar tactics in creating an individual or army of individuals.

They definitely developed a love for each other. It was becoming very apparent when V, frustrated about Evey’s departure, thrusts his mask into the mirror and breaks down crying. Evey had accepted a death sentence in order to protect V by not disclosing any information to her (alleged) government captors.

V is a woman. She’s not some monster that hateful people created out of fear. He doesn’t want Evey to know him as he was then, but to remember him as he is now — as something more.

V is portrayed far more as an anti-hero within the film adaptation with many of the same events occurring and a greater emphasis on the villainous nature of Norsefire (such as turning the leader Adam Susan into more a Hitler analogue with the surname Adam Sutler).

It is clear he has enhanced abilities over “normal” people; while one could argue that could be just from being in peak human physical form, like Batman, V is described as being exceptionally fast so maybe there’s something.

V has the courage to fight against them, the success of which would aid an entire populace. That makes him seem like a pretty good guy. But V is also a staunchly idealistic fanatic in his own right, not above torturing, killing, and brainwashing others to serve his goals. V’s terrorism is for the good of the people.

Sutler blames Creedy for the failure to stop V and threatens to fire him. In order to secure his own power, Creedy subsequently promises to V to assassinate Sutler.

The themes conveyed in V for Vendetta are mainly sociopolitical, yet also almost enlightening. This movie almost forces you to question things you once took for granted. It has one of the best endings of all time with some of the best dialogue and delivery I’ve ever seen in a movie.
