Our founder gave the web to the world for free, but fighting for its future comes at a cost. We rely on donations to continue our valuable work.

Scores are given in the areas of universal access; freedom and openness; relevant content; and empowerment.

The Web Index is a composite statistic designed and produced by the World Wide Web Foundation.
