This generation of life in the thin outer layer of the geosphere established what is called the biosphere, the “zone of life,” an energy-diverting skin that uses the matter of Earth to make living substance.

The end of the tale is reached when the bears return. Wee Bear finds his empty bowl, his broken chair, and the old woman sleeping in his bed and cries, “Somebody has been lying in my bed, and here she is!” The old woman wakes, jumps out the window and is never seen again.

According to the article, many classic fairy tales end with people being killed: “Like in ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears,’ it says she runs away but it’s obvious they eat her.” I was reading a back issue, Oct. 31, 2011, of People magazine and came across the brief article “What do you read to kids?” by Kim Hubbard.

So, Goldilocks SHOULD have said, “Papa Bear’s porridge was too cold! Baby Bear’s porridge was too hot! And Mama Bear’s porridge was just right.”
