The island of Surtsey Surtsey is the youngest shield volcano of Iceland and originated in a series of eruptions which started with a submarine phase in 1963 and ended by subaerial production of lava and ash in hawaiian style in 1967.

The purpose of strictly prohibiting visits to Surtsey is to ensure that colonisation by plants and animals, biotic succession and the shaping of geological formations will be as natural as possible and that human disruption will be minimised.

The North Sentinel Island which is part of the Andaman chain is one of the forbidden places in the world. It is where the Sentinelese tribe resides. The people occupying the island usually resolve to violent to keep their isolation still ongoing.

St. Barts is incredibly safe and there is very little to no crime on the island. The island is also marked as one of the safest Caribbean islands due to its murder rate of zero. It is so safe that you can even leave your car and house unlocked, as many locals do.
