Africa’s great savannas are a place dominated by sky and rolling grassland. Their wildlife has long been the focus of filmmakers, photographers and writers. Of Africa’s great plains regions, the Serengeti is the most famous.

Tigers are found in amazingly diverse habitats: rain forests, grasslands, savannas and even mangrove swamps.

Jaguars are the only big cat in the Americas and the third biggest in the world after tigers and lions. They look a lot like leopards, which live in Africa and Asia, but jaguars’ spots are more complex and often have a dot in the center.
