Fairy dust, also known as pixie dust, is very important to the realm of fae. Tinker Bell uses this magical dust to give the power to fly, while other fairies use it to help plants grow, heal wounds, create special areas of protection, and most excitable, to make our wishes come true!

“All the world is made of faith, and trust, and pixie dust.”

Pixie Dust are essencial to fairies, as it births them, grants the ability to fly and the gift of magic, if the fairy has a magical talent dealing with forces of nature. The absence of Pixie Dust would cause a fairy to lost his/her ability to fly and deprives them of their innate magical talent until it is replenished.

Without Pixie Dust, a fairy can’t fly. We see this in “Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure” when Tink runs out of dust. Her wings appear to be capable of small amounts of lift (and changes in direction) but without the boost offered by Dust, the wings are solely capable of short hops, not self-powered flight.

Angry, she ridicules Wendy’s stories and their faith in them, in very much the same way as George did in the first film. Wendy appears again at the end of the film when Jane returns with Peter. While she is with Danny, Wendy is able to meet Peter again.

Vidia in Tinker Bell. The fairy, eventually named Tinker Bell, becomes a tinker fairy. Vidia scoffs at the tinker-talents, calling them the most useless talent in all of Pixie Hollow. Later on, Tinker Bell attempts to befriend Vidia, but Vidia immediately dislikes her because of her unusually strong talent.

Vidia is the only fairy that originated from the books to become a main antagonist. She cares for the well-being of Tinker Bell, but never admits it. After her adventure in Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue, she is shown to be a little nicer.

At the end of the novel, when Peter flies back to find an older Wendy, it is mentioned that Tinker Bell died in the year after Wendy and her brothers left Neverland, and Peter no longer remembers her.
