The J.P. Morgan Reserve Card, formerly known as the Palladium Card, is an invitation-only Visa credit card issued by JPMorgan Chase. It was known as the J.P. Morgan Palladium Card until it was formally re-branded to its current name. The laser engraved card is minted out of brass and plated with palladium.

J.P. Morgan Reserve (Palladium) Card The J.P. Morgan Reserve is the updated version of its better-known predecessor, The Chase Palladium, a card Barack Obama reportedly used. Bloomberg called it the credit card for the 1 percent of the 1 percent.

Cards like the Centurion® Card from American Express (also known as the Black Card), the J.P. Morgan Reserve Card, and the Citi Chairman® American Express® Card that offer ultra-high discretionary credit limits are not available to the public but to only those chosen specifically by the card issuer.

The American Express Black Card’s requirements are rumored to include being an Amex cardholder for at least a year, spending over $100,000 annually on American Express credit cards, and annual income of at least $1 million. You’ll probably need to have an excellent credit score, too.

The bank is currently soliciting branch customers to upgrade to private client status by offering them $2,000 if they deposit $250,000 into new J.P. Morgan personal investment, checking or savings accounts (a checking account is a prerequisite to a saving account), and maintain the balance for at least 90 days.

The JP Morgan Palladium card Ultimate Rewards site is the same as the Chase Sapphire card and allows 1:1 point transfers to United, Continental, Southwest, and British Airways along with a $.01 per point cash option and merchandise rewards. The JP Morgan Palladium earns 2 points per dollar on travel spend and 1 point everywhere else.

When the Chase Sapphire Reserve was introduced in 2016, the Palladium card adopted its new name: the J.P. Morgan Reserve. It also adopted many of the same exact benefits and features.

The Chase Palladium Card, now known as the J.P. Morgan Reserve Card, is a high-end, invite-only credit card available to Chase private bank customers. Despite its exclusivity, the card itself doesn’t offer any special benefits beyond the novelty of being made out of a rare chemical element, palladium.
