The campus is very beautiful, the staff is excellent and it has an amazing reputation. This school excels in their nursing and education programs. This was my top choice school to complete my undergrad nursing education, because of how reputable the Gwynedd Mercy University name is. Gwynedd is an amazing school.

Duquesne academic scholarships are awarded for a maximum of 8 semesters, (12 semesters for Pharmacy students who were accepted after the fall 2015 semester). Prior to the start of your freshman year, if you increase your SAT/ACT scores you may be eligible to receive more scholarship (although not guaranteed).

Duquesne in general is NOT a party school. You have to go out and find the parties or make your own fun.

Duquesne admissions is somewhat selective with an acceptance rate of 74%. Students that get into Duquesne have an average SAT score between 1130-1300 or an average ACT score of 23-28. The regular admissions application deadline for Duquesne is rolling. Interested students can apply for early action and early decision.

Duquesne has offered test-optional admission opportunities for several schools and majors, including in the College of Liberal Arts and the School of Business, for several years. For fall 2021, all 85 majors are available for test-optional applications. Applicants with test scores are still encouraged to submit them.

Can freshmen residing in the Living Learning Centers have a car on campus? No. Due to limited space, first year residential students are not permitted to have a car on campus.

I am a commuter and Duquesne really takes care of their commuters. There is a lounge specifically made for commuters. It has a big screen tv and a lot of couches so you can hang out down there in between classes since you dont have a dorm to go to.
