Though Vol. 2 does have some action sequences, Vol. 1 is obviously the superior one in this sense. The first fight between the Bride and Vernita Green as well as the fight between her and O-Ren’s elite squad of fighters are among the best fight sequences in history.

As is the case with all of Tarantino’s films, Django Unchained is incredibly violent. We spoke to the director before the school shootings in Newtown, Conn., and before critics had taken him to task for the film’s brutality. The film also is being debated for the way it brings humor to the story of slavery.

The film picks up when she wakes from a coma and embarks on a mission to exert revenge on whoever tried to kill her. The violence is martial-arts in form and grindhouse in scale, with swords severing limbs into volcanoes of blood.

Violence & Gore (16) Most violent scenes aren’t that graphic. However there are a few particular parts which are. Most notably the scene in which a man is shot in the head while sitting in a car and there’s a large explosion of blood and the car and people in it get covered with blood and brain matter.

Not all kids will like this movie. It might not sit well with younger kids, there a torture/rape scene. While CSM is overreacting about the violence. There are explicit drug scenes, including an overdose.

if your child is easily scared, maybe wait until they’re 14, just to be safe.
