Our MBA (ISP) degree is an innovative program designed to meet your needs as an international student, combining an intensive Business English program with our comprehensive MBA core curriculum and flexible specializations. The BBA program gives you a good opportunity for a high average which will help with admissions. But it is also a good backup plan. If you’re interested in law, apply for law plus.

Minimum six Grade 12 4U or 4M-level credits, including program specific prerequisites; A minimum admission average of 70% (many programs require a higher average); You must meet English language proficiency requirements.

Ryerson isn’t a particularly prestigious university, but they do have some programs that are prestigious, such as their Media Production program. They’re also known for their creative, engineering, business, and nursing programs.

The admission process at Ryerson University is quite difficult and competitive, it is considered to be one of the most applied universities in Canada. The undergraduates and graduate applicants have to apply through the Ontario Universities Application Centre.

With respect to grad school, York is much more established whereas Ryerson has only had the ability to offer anything beyond undergrad since 1993 (but functionally a few years after). York has a law school whereas Ryerson does not — yet.

“Ryerson is actually the worst campus in university campus history.” No, Ryerson isn’t like a typical university campus, but that’s what makes it so great and unique. Ryerson students feel lucky to be right in the thick of dynamic, high-paced Toronto life.

A minimum overall average of 70% in 6 Grade 12 U/M courses establishes your eligibility to apply for admission. Ryerson receives more applications than spaces available.

Ryerson also has the highest rejection rate in the province if that means anything (making it the hardest school to get into! under 10% of the applicants for the RTA program actually get accepted. closer to two-thirds of all applicants are turned away).

The exception is their Business program, which is actually competitive. Other than that program, it is very easy to get into York. Yes, its not very difficult to get into York University. The application process is not very difficult but make sure you take help from a mentor at York through UniRely.

Long answer: York University is in the neighbor the Finch and Jane intersection, which is a very high crime neighborhood. Long story short, it is perfectly safe to study at York if you live well outside that circle and don’t linger on campus at night. Bad people can walk.

York University has ranked in a number of post-secondary rankings. In the 2020 Academic Ranking of World Universities rankings, the university ranked 401–500 in the world and 19 in Canada. The 2021 QS World University Rankings ranked the university 531–540 in the world, and eighteenth in Canada.

Requirement. Overall score of between 70 (plus 70 in three 5-unit subjects) and 85 (plus 80 in three 5-unit subjects).

At most high schools, this means that the highest GPA you can get is a 5.0. A 4.5 GPA indicates that you’re in very good shape for college. You’re most likely in high level classes earning As and high Bs. 99.68% of schools have an average GPA below a 4.5.

Hard to Get In: Private colleges are more selective of the students it admits. If your grades were not so great in high school, then you may get into a private college. Cost: Private colleges cost far more than public colleges, sometimes as much as 10 times more.
