Mao Zedong may be the most famous leader of the peasant movement. He organized the association of Hunan in 1926, which nearly half the peasants in the province (roughly 10 million) joined. In the Chinese Soviet Republic, the association helped organize the peasants in the agrarian revolution.

18th of September 1931 there was an explosion on the South Manchuria railway. The Japanese army claimed that the train had been attacked by Chinese soldiers who had also shot at the railway guards.

It increased the power of America’s allies and kept communism at bay. Why was the Soviet Union’s development of atomic weapons so significant? The United States no longer had the advantage of atomic weapons. It made China a legitimate communist threat.

The baby boom created a larger demand for food, goods, and services. Industries looked for ways t increase production to meet the demands for a growing population and prices of limited resources rose. These also created more jobs across the country to meet the needs of the larger population.

The Americans were still fighting the war against Japan. What made the atomic bombing of Japan so devastating for human life? The U.S. had fought the war in the Pacific almost on its own.

Containment was a United States policy using numerous strategies to prevent the spread of communism abroad. A component of the Cold War, this policy was a response to a series of moves by the Soviet Union to enlarge its communist sphere of influence in Eastern Europe, China, Korea, and Vietnam.

The “containment policy” was the U.S. approach to containing, or preventing, the spread of Communism after World War II. The idea was to make other countries prosperous enough to avoid the temptation of communism.

As a component of the Cold War, this policy caused a response from the Soviet Union to increase communist influence in Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America, while also being regarded as the beginning of the cold war.

The U.S involvement in Vietnam is hard to create a concrete pinpointed date for the beginning of the war because the growing tension between Communist Vietnam and America had been accumulating over a number of years. The so-called “domino theory” dominated U.S. thinking about Vietnam for the next decade.
