Liquid cayenne pepper is a simple recipe. Cayenne pepper extract, grain alcohol, and distilled water. There are some liquid cayenne supplements out there that promise 180,000 Scoville heat units and more. These are typically a mix of cayenne with a super-hot pepper like a habanero.

How do you liquify cayenne pepper?

1. If using cayenne powder, dissolve 2 tablespoons in 1 gallon of water and mix in six drops of castile soap.

3. Pack a 1-quart jar tightly with cayenne peppers.

The cayenne pepper is a very hot vegetable pepper, and cayenne powder is made from ground, dried cayenne peppers. This type of pepper is not the same as the pepper spice you see in shakers along with salt 1.

Whilst chili powder is not as hot as cayenne pepper, it will still be a decent substitute. The powder is made from dried chili peppers that have been ground.

Cayenne peppers, like other spicy peppers, have capsaicin, the compound that gives them their “heat”. Applied topically, capsaicin can help to alleviate pain by reducing the amount of a neuropeptide known as substance P that travels to the brain to signal pain.

Add small amounts to curries, stews, chili, or Mexican food. Or include capsaicin as a supplement in your diet. Take either 30-120 milligram capsules or 0.3-1 milliliter of liquid tincture one to three times per day. You can also make an infusion using up to 1 teaspoon of powdered cayenne pepper per cup of water.

Can I substitute turmeric for paprika? Yes, you can substitute turmeric for paprika in recipes but the flavor may be slightly different, if you want to achieve a more similar flavoring then you may need to add some additional ingredients to replicate the smokiness that paprika brings.
