The GeForce 930MX 2GB is a very low performing piece of gaming hardware and can probably only run indie system requirements. This card meets game requirements up to DirectX 12.

The Nvidia GeForce 930MX is an entry-level DirectX 12 graphics card for laptops that was announced in the first quarter of 2016. It is the refresh of the GeForce 930M and now supports GDDR5 graphics memory. It is based on the same GM108 chip and may feature slightly increased clock rates.

Is the GTX 970 still worth it in 2020? Absolutely. I mean, I wouldn’t buy a new one, but if that is what you have, it’s a decent card.

The 970 is still a high-end card even though it now gets beaten by anything above a 1050Ti….crzyces.

Cards of the R9 290X or GTX 970 ilk are still very capable performers at 1080p. Some of the latest and greatest games will start to make them chug a bit, but if you’re savvy with your settings they can still keep up, and that’s pretty commendable for graphics cards that are over 6/7 years old now.

Short answer is that GTX 970 is a discontinued product and it was listed with last price that is higher than current listed price for GTX 1070. Additionally, as a product manufacturing is discontinued, remaining inventory at retail tends to rise the price of that particular product.

Definitely good enough. You’ll most likely be around 100 fps at low/medium settings but it’ll feel decently smooth most of the time.

The simplest way of defining the difference between 4K and UHD is this: 4K is a professional production and cinema standard, while UHD is a consumer display and broadcast standard. UHD quadruples that resolution to 3,840 by 2,160.

Consider this: One hour of standard definition DV footage requires approximately 12.7GB of storage; approximately 217MB per minute. By comparison, one hour of RAW 4K content requires close to 110GB of storage; approximately 2GB per minute.

2K reference resolution is 2048 × 1536 pixels, whereas 4K reference resolution is 4096 × 3072 pixels. This means a screen of the same size, say 60″, the 4k would have more pixels per square inch, creating sharper and better images.

From a distance, it is virtually impossible for someone to tell the difference in quality between a 1080p and 4K screen. However, if you have a big enough screen, in a small enough room the difference is immediately apparent.

If you plan to buy a 4K monitor for your computer (assume a 2-3 ft viewing distance @ 27 inches), the 4K monitor will always be better than 2k. The same could be said for larger displays at shorter viewing distances. However, as you increase the viewing distance, the perceivable benefit of 4K drops off markedly.
