In order to pass the class with a grade of C or better, a student must score at least 50% on the final exam and have an overall average of at least 70%. Students who do not take the final exam by the scheduled time, will receive a grade of 0 for the final exam to be used to calculate the students average.

Full-time is generally a minimum of twelve credits or about four classes. Part-time is usually somewhere between six and eleven credits or two to three classes. Therefore, a full-time student spends more time in class during a semester than a part-time student.

Obviously YMMV for a wide assortment of reasons, but from personal experience 20 credit hours is easily manageable as long as you put the effort in (show up and be active in class, do your work as soon as you can so you don’t end up with lots of assignments due overlapping each other).

The limit is probably somewhere around 9–10 credits for typical classes (not some unusual opportunity that is non-standard). Most students would struggle taking more than about two classes at the same time in the summer.

For every one credit hour in which you enroll, you will spend approximately two to three hours outside of class studying. Therefore, to help determine the course load most appropriate for you, use the formula: 3 credit hours (1 course) = 3 hours in class per week = 6-9 hours study time per week.

Just put as much effort as you can. Normally 2 courses in a 6 week summer session is considered a full load. 3 courses in a 9 week session should be equivalent to that, so I’d guess you are fine.

If you are enrolled as a full-time student in a 36-credit degree program and you are taking 12 credits per semester, you can expect to complete your degree in three semesters. Students studying part-time, earning only eight credits per semester to start, would be earning their degree for over four semesters.

Typically, one unit, or one hour of class, will require two hours of study time. Consequently, a 3 unit course would require three hours of lectures, discussions, or labs and six hours of independent studying. A 3 unit course will, therefore, necessitate about nine hours of your time.

In the US, approximately 40 hours of required study generally translates to one semester hour. A year of full time study in the US generally results in 30-36 semester hours of credit. Therefore, one year of full time study at an international school would be assessed as 30-36 hours of transfer credit.

If you attend college on a traditional campus, it will take one year to complete 30 college credits. However, if you test out of 30 college credit hours using CLEP or DSST exams, you can get 30 college credits in just a few weeks, assuming you want to take one week to study for each exam.

15 credit hours per semester x 2 semesters per year = 30 credits per year. A two –year program equals approximately 60 credits; a four-year baccalaureate equals approximately 120 credits. 15 credit hours per quarter x 3 quarters per year = 45 credits per year.

Yes, it’s possible to complete a master’s program within the span of only 1 year. To complete a master’s degree in 1 year, you will have to take more courses than a typical student will register in a semester. But, you cannot complete MBA in 1 year in the U.S. An MBA program in the U.S. is designed for 2 to 2.5 years.

It’s always a good idea to apply relatively early in the admissions cycle – at least six months before the course begins. Masters offers are given out as applications come in, so you don’t want to leave it too late and discover that your perfect programme is already full.

You can accept as many offers as you wish. To be fair to other applicants, when you’ve definitely decided which place to take up, inform the university.

Can you do a Master’s with a 2.2? The short answer is yes, absolutely. Many postgraduate courses will even include a 2.2 or above in their Master’s entry requirements. Strictly speaking, you could do a Master’s with a third, or even no degree at all.

Some graduates who become paralegals after university go on to secure training contracts. Alternatively, you can take all that legal knowledge and passion for law, and apply it to another career, such as accountancy or insurance, trading standards, advice work, the police force, human resources or health and safety.

A 1st/2.1 is like an A*/A grade, but a 2.2/lower is like a D/E grade. The reason is because there are so many graduates with 2.1s and above that 2.2 basically becomes a grade not worth looking at. I wouldn’t say it’s worthless though, it does have some worth, but not much compared to a 2.1/1st.
