Google Chrome is a cross-platform web browser developed by Google. The browser is also the main component of Chrome OS, where it serves as the platform for web applications. Most of Chrome’s source code comes from Google’s free and open-source software project Chromium, but Chrome is licensed as proprietary freeware.

If Google controls your browser, your search engine, and has tracking scripts on the sites you visit, they hold the power to track you from multiple angles.

Because it is the default and pre-installed web browser on Android, Google Chrome cannot be uninstalled. However, you can disable Google Chrome instead if you want to remove it from the list of apps on your device.

4. To delete an individual password, click on the three dots next to it and select Remove.
5. To delete all passwords, go to Clear Browsing Data from Settings -> Advanced and select Passwords.

Offer to save passwords is on by default, and you can turn it off or back on.

4. Turn Offer to save passwords on or off.

To delete individual passwords:

1. Open the Tools menu.
2. Select Internet Options.
3. Click Content.
4. Under AutoComplete, click Settings.
5. Click on Manage Passwords.
6. Click on the Web Credentials Manager.
7. Click on the drop down arrow by the web site you want to remove the password.
8. Click on Remove.

On Android Launch the Chrome app on your Android device. Tap on the three horizontal dots in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Select the “Settings” option, then continue to “Passwords.” Tap on the three horizontal dots to export passwords.

2. Tap Settings.
3. Select Passwords.
4. A list of saved passwords will now appear, accompanied by their corresponding website and username.

Google Chrome browser uses the operating system secure vault for safeguarding locally saved passwords. Also, the passwords are encrypted when synced into Google cloud. Even if someone has access to your browser they can’t see the stored password without having your admin pass.

But there’s another alternative that’s simple, reliable, and everyone already knows how to use it: paper. To keep your passwords safe, just write them down on a piece of paper and put it in a safe place like your wallet. You can’t hack paper.
