The HP Lexicon states that after Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone Fluffy was repatriated to Greece by Dumbledore. This quote from Rowling should set the record straight: Dumbledore liked to put Hagrid’s more foolish acquisitions back where they belong – not the forest.

In October 1991, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley and Neville Longbottom inadvertently stumbled upon Fluffy after night hours at Hogwarts, when they were trying to hide from Argus Filch.

Fluffy is the three-headed monster dog that Hagrid uses to guard the trapdoor hiding the mysterious package Dumbledore so wants to protect. Fluffy is extremely ferocious, but will fall asleep if you play soothing music to him.

Well everyone, apparently, as Fluffy was never mentioned again after being set loose into the Forbidden Forest by Hagrid. When asked if Fluffy joined in the Battle of Hogwarts, Rowling revealed where Fluffy ultimately ended up: . @EmyBemy2 He was repatriated to Greece.

Fluffy is an extremely large three-headed dog, apparently loyal to Hagrid. He is apparently modeled on Cerberus, the three-headed dog who guards the entrance to the Underworld in Greek mythology.

Meeting Harry and Ron Hermione was a couple of weeks away from turning twelve when she boarded the Hogwarts Express in 1991, where she met Harry Potter and Ron Weasley while helping Neville Longbottom find his pet toad, Trevor.

Ron – in a typically 11-year-old-ish, thoughtless fashion – said: ‘It’s no wonder no one can stand her … she’s a nightmare, honestly.’ But Hermione overheard him, and left in tears.

Every time Harry, Ron, and Hermione pass the third-floor corridor, they check that Fluffy is still there. But Hermione also starts to be preoccupied with the exams that are looming at the end of the year, and the teachers start to pile on more and more homework.

Hermione receives a grade of 112 percent on her final exams and has read every textbook backward and forward, but she lacks Harry’s key ability to view the broader consequences of facts. While Hermione has progressed a great deal, she fails to realize the full implications of the Sorcerer’s Stone.
