Directed and produced by Amy Schatz, this half hour film features school children in conversation with survivors and family members, historical segments, and classroom scenes exploring 9/11 through artwork and poetry. It was produced for HBO in collaboration with the 9/11 Tribute Museum.

September 11, 2021 is the 20th Anniversary of that tragic day. On this day Americans across the country are called to volunteer in their local communities in tribute to the individuals lost and injured in the attacks, first responders, and the many who have risen in service to defend freedom.

On September 11, 2001, nineteen terrorists who were members of al-Qaeda, an Islamist extremist network, hijacked four commercial airplanes. In a coordinated attack, the hijackers intentionally flew two of the planes into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, and a third into the Pentagon.

The Taj Mahal was commissioned by Shah Jahan in 1631, to be built in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died on 17 June that year, while giving birth to their 14th child, Gauhara Begum.

The Taj Mahal, which was constructed in 1632 by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, had been initially named ‘Roza-e-Munavvara’ which means Unique Building, but was then renamed by Shah Jahan as Taj Mahal as a loving tribute to his wife for whom his love surpassed all belief.

Inside the Taj Mahal, the cenotaphs honoring Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jahan are enclosed in an eight-sided chamber ornamented with pietra dura (an inlay with semi-precious stones) and a marble lattice screen. But the gorgeous monuments are just for show: The real sarcophagi are in a quiet room below, at garden level.

THE TAJ MAHAL “HIDES” DURING TIMES OF WAR. To this end, architects added extensive scaffolding that concealed the structure from airborne bombers.

Mughal emperor Shah Jahan built the 17th century Taj Mahal in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal who died delivering their 14th child in Burhanpur, a town in Maharashtra. One, the body remained buried in Burhanpur, only some symbolic relics were brought to Agra in a lead coffin.

It was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal with construction starting in 1632 AD and completed in 1648 AD, with the mosque, the guest house and the main gateway on the south, the outer courtyard and its cloisters were added subsequently and completed in 1653 AD.

In April 2015, six lawyers filed a petition claiming that the monument was originally an ancient shrine to the lord Shiva. Ex-State President of BJP of Uttar Pradesh had said the Taj Mahal was an ancient temple that was sold by Hindu king Jai Singh to Shah Jahan.

Often described as one of the wonders of the world, the stunning 17th Century white marble Taj Mahal was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died in childbirth.

The Taj Mahal is open year-round, though on Fridays it’s only accessible to practicing Muslims who visit the mosque. Otherwise, tourists can visit the Taj from sunrise to sunset, all year.

Eating and smoking is strictly prohibited inside Taj Mahal. Arms, ammunitions, fire, smoking items, tobacco products, liquor, eatables (Toffees), head phones, knives, wire, mobile charger, electric goods (except camera), Tripods are also prohibited.
