Pantone 448 C, also dubbed “the ugliest colour in the world”, is a colour in the Pantone colour system. Described as a “drab dark brown”, it was selected in 2012 as the colour for plain tobacco and cigarette packaging in Australia, after market researchers determined that it was the least attractive colour.

Blue is the hardest color to see as more light energy is required for a full response from blue-violet cones, compared to green or red. At a certain light level, a blue-violet color appears darker than green or red, notes the UCLA Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences.

Readability. Let’s talk about reading on screens. Black text on a white background is best, since the color properties and light are best suited for the human eye. That’s because white reflects every wavelength in the color spectrum.
