At the end of the race, Alice distributes comfits from her pocket to all as prizes. As she has only a thimble, the Dodo requests it from her and then awards it to Alice as her prize.

Alice finds herself embroiled in a heated discussion with the Lory (the parrot) over who knows best how to dry off. The Lory cuts off the argument with the declaration that he is wiser than Alice because he is older than she is.

Chapter 3 A Caucus-Race and a Long Tale Summary Finally Alice swims out of the tears. She and the other small animals try to dry themselves by having a “Caucus-Race.” The Dodo marks out a course, sets everyone in place, and yells “go.” The animals run for half an hour until the Dodo declares the race over.

Alice and the group of animals land on the bank and focus on getting dry. Alice begins arguing with the Lory, but the Mouse interjects and commands everyone to sit down and listen to a history lesson. The Dodo says that all of them have won the Caucus race and elects Alice to confer prizes.

Mice are much more dependent upon food than water. They can only go 2-4 days without food of some sort. Keep in mind that this does not mean they need to sit down to a full fest.

She recites a line from her French lessons, inquiring after a cat. At the mention of the cat, the Mouse leaps with fright. Alice apologizes but then absentmindedly chatters about her cat Dinah. The Mouse becomes offended, so she changes the subject to dogs.

White Rabbit character description Alice follows him when he hurries into his hole and thereby enters Wonderland. In the Queen’s presence, Alice finally gets a taste of true fear, even though she understands that the Queen of Hearts is merely a playing card.

The White Queen: Perfectionism There’s no doubt that the White Queen is everyone’s favorite of the queens, due to her daintiness and tranquility within her reign prior to her evil sister taking over Wonderland. The queen, however, seems to be suffering from Perfectionism.
