First, You’ll need to turn the ignition on without the motor running. Then, disconnect Your battery for at least five minutes, with the ignition in the “ON” position the entire duration. Then, reconnect Your battery, and start the car.

To turn off the traction control system, press the stability control off switch. The off switch could look like either of the two graphics shown. Full features of the AdvanceTrac system can be restored by pressing the switch again or by turning off and restarting the engine.

“TRAC OFF” Indicator Indicates that Traction Control is off. The TRAC system switches the traction control on/off to prevent wheelspin and further downshifting. To turn the TRAC system off, quickly press and release the button.

Simply push and release the VSC Off button located near your gear shift, and your TRAC will be turned off. Look for the TRAC OFF indicator light near your speedometer. Your VSC Off indicator light will be here as well. When you want to turn the TRAC back on, just push the button again.
