The prefix ‘un-‘ is similar. So, because of that, the word ‘invaluable’ means ‘not valuable’. And yet, it can be used to mean exactly the same thing as the word ‘valuable’. ‘Valuable’ comes from the root word ‘value’ and the suffix ‘-able’.

On a calculator display, E (or e) stands for exponent of 10, and it’s always followed by another number, which is the value of the exponent. For example, a calculator would show the number 25 trillion as either 2.5E13 or 2.5e13. In other words, E (or e) is a short form for scientific notation.

In this case e is shorthand for *10^, so 1e-8 is 1 * 10 ^ -8, or . 00000001. The reason they use e is to shorten the number of zeroes they have to display.

The scientific notation 9e-4 is same as 9×10^-4 or 9×10-4. Thus, to get the answer to 9e-4 as a decimal, we multiply 9 by 10 to the power of -4. = 9e-4. = 9 × 10-4. = 0.0009.

9e-8 in decimal form is 0.00000009.

The scientific notation 9e-6 is same as 9×10^-6 or 9×10-6. Thus, to get the answer to 9e-6 as a decimal, we multiply 9 by 10 to the power of -6. = 9e-6. = 9 × 10-6. = 0.000009.

The e−4 part means that the decimal point in the number 4.3 should be moved four places to the left, which requires the insertion of some additional zeros. The calculator display 3.75 e−6 means the same as 3.75 × 10−6.
