The wavelength of visible light determines the color that the light appears. Light with the longest wavelength appears red, and light with the shortest wavelength appears violet. These three colors are the primary colors of light. All other colors of light can be created by combining the primary colors.

The color of the light is determined by the frequency of the light wave. Red, is lowest, frequency and violet is the highest.

The higher the frequency,the shorter the wavelength. The equation that relates wavelength and frequency for electromagnetic waves is: λν=c where λ is the wavelength, v is the frequency and c is the speed of light. So by these we can say that colour of light depends upon wavelength and frequency both.

Color is the aspect of things that is caused by differing qualities of light being reflected or emitted by them. To see color, you have to have light. When light shines on an object some colors bounce off the object and others are absorbed by it. Light is made of electromagnetic waves.

When light hits an object – say, a banana – the object absorbs some of the light and reflects the rest of it. These are the wavelengths of yellow light. When you look at a banana, the wavelengths of reflected light determine what color you see.

We sometimes think of colors as objective properties of objects, much like shape or volume. But research has found that we experience colors differently, depending on gender, national origin, ethnicity, geographical location, and what language we speak. In other words, there is nothing objective about colors.

Red-green and yellow-blue are the so-called “forbidden colors.” Composed of pairs of hues whose light frequencies automatically cancel each other out in the human eye, they’re supposed to be impossible to see simultaneously. The limitation results from the way we perceive color in the first place.

Red

According to Wikipedia, Pantone 448 C has been dubbed “The ugliest colour in the world.” Described as a “drab dark brown,” it was selected in 2016 as the colour for plain tobacco and cigarette packaging in Australia, after market researchers determined that it was the least attractive colour.

According to a study from the Univeristy of Manchester, dudes love when women wear red lipstick: The researchers traced the eye movements of men as they checked out women with pink lipstick, no lipstick and red lipstick.

In natural light, check the appearance of your veins beneath your skin. If your veins appear blue or purple, you have a cool skin tone. If your veins look green or a greenish blue, you have a warm skin tone. If you can’t tell whether or not your veins are green or blue, you probably have a neutral skin tone.

Fair – The lightest range of skin tones. You likely burn easy, and have light or red hair. Light – Generally those with skin considered “light” have warmer undertones (we’ll get to that in a second) than those with fair skin. You likely are able to tan in the summer.

Characteristic features of the female “sexy face” in comparison to the “unsexy face”:

• Less fat.
• Fuller lips.
• Slightly bigger distance of eyes.
• Darker, narrower eye brows.
• More, longer and darker lashes.
